About
Adam Rauch
Founder of Lead Compound Advisory. In CRO business development since 2020.
I've spent my career on the commercial side of contract research. I started at Accelevir Diagnostics, a CAP/CLIA-certified bioanalytical CRO spun out of Johns Hopkins, and since 2024 I've also worked with Noble Life Sciences, a preclinical in vivo CRO in Sykesville, Maryland. I find new sponsors, run scoping calls, write the quotes and SOWs, and build the partnerships that let a smaller CRO bid on larger programs.
In the past 12 months I've written hundreds of quotes and SOWs, from rodent PK studies to GLP toxicology in swine and large-animal device studies. That volume taught me what makes a study easy to quote, what makes a quote easy to sign, and where both go wrong.
Biotech teams kept asking me the next question: once the data is in, who should see it? So I also help emerging biotechs with partnering, research collaborations and investor readiness. I've put together partnerships between CROs, I'm building a multi-company network to cover IND-enabling programs end to end, and I know what's inside a preclinical data package, which is the first thing partners and investors diligence.
I started Lead Compound Advisory to bring all of that to more CROs and to the biotechs that work with them. The name has two meanings on purpose: CROs need the right leads, and biotechs need the right partners for their lead compound.

How I work
Four rules I hold to
Close, not just contact
Pipeline only counts when it turns into signed SOWs. I measure the work by what gets signed.
Speak the science
Scientists buy from people who understand the study. Every conversation starts with the design, not the pitch.
Write it down
Scopes, quotes and SOWs that match each other to the dollar, and a process you keep after I'm gone.
Disclose conflicts
You'll always know who else I work for. If that affects your project, you'll hear it from me first.
Next step
Start with a 30-minute call.
Tell me about your pipeline or your program. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
